A few days ago, I heard about an incredible website that people are starting to connect on. This site is called Tribalry.com. It has a number of tribes, but the one I was interested in is called Saints and Sisters. It is a group specifically for LDS sisters to connect, inspire, and grow with each other. If you click through the link you can request to join the tribe. I would love to see you there!
The owner of the tribe is an incredible woman named Wendy Santiano. She is the creator of some really touching videos. Her ability to capture the emotions of her subjects is fantastic! Her YouTube channel is called Bed Head Mom. One of her videos is at the end of this post. It is so inspiring and thought provoking!
I realized that her husband's name was familiar as a cinematographer. He filmed a huge musical production that our LDS youth created in 2014 called 18 Lives and the Book of Mormon. It included youth from 5 stakes in Colorado. It is a powerful musical production about the lives of 18 high school students and how the teachings from the Book of Mormon aids them in their struggles. We love watching it as a family and you can see it here. It is perfect for a family night activity!
I asked Wendy if I could share this next video that was so inspiring to me. It is a silent interview except for music and the participants are posed specific questions. Seeing their expressions and reactions that are so raw, moving, and completely authentic moved me to tears.
I invite you to watch it and ask that you focus and really pay attention to each subtle expression and movement that you see in the participants. Enjoy!
I would love to hear how it makes you feel and the impressions you get from it!
Hope to see you on the Tribe! Hugs, Jenny
